01/June/2011 - Sustainability Seminar in Bangkok, Thailand

All over the world clients show an increased interest for sustainability. That was the reason to share our knowledge and experiences in this field in Thailand.

On May 25th a seminar on Sustainability, organized together with the Netherlands Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC), attracted more than 40 attendants of the Thai business environment.

Bart Brink, corporate coordinator Cradle to Cradle® at Royal Haskoning, gave a presentation on sustainability and the Cradle to Cradle® concept. In his presentation Bart gave an introduction to Haskoning’s view on sustainability and how Haskoning is inspired by the Cradle to Cradle® concept. He also gave examples of projects of Royal Haskoning in which sustainability has lead to successful solutions and added value for clients.

After the presentation of Royal Haskoning, the company Betagro, engaged in food products, animal feed production, livestock and animal health products, presented examples of how they are trying to become more sustainable.
The last presentation was of the Nollen Group, specialized in environmental financing, who explained their concept of sustainable financing.

With this seminar Royal Haskoning and its local representing company Chuchawal Royal Haskoning has taken the next steps to incorporate sustainability, inspired by Cradle to Cradle® in projects in Asia.
