Chevron Thailand operates gas and oil platforms in the Gulf of Thailand. These platforms are currently serviced by two shore bases. Due to insufficient capacity and limited possibilities of both bases to extend their capabilities at the current location, Chevron intends to concentrate their shore base activities into one new shore base. Chuchawal Royal Haskoning, Royal Haskoning (RH) in cooperation with SEATEC was appointed to prepare Environmental, Safety and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) according to Chevron standards and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) according to Thai regulations for the new Chevron Thailand Shore Base.

General scope of works includes:

  • project scoping and TOR preparation to ONEP
  • stakeholder engagement
  • site selection
  • design selection
  • environmental baseline surveys
  • modeling of air, noise, marine impacts
  • impacts assessment for environmental, social and health aspects
  • development of mitigation measures
  • support during EIA approval process (from ONEP)
